The WeChat Account Password Recovery Service (the “Service”) is a WeChat feature that may allow you to recover your WeChat Account's password (your "Password").
Your use of the Service is subject to the WeChat TOS, including the WeChat Privacy Policy, the WeChat Acceptable Use Policy and the “Your Account” section of the WeChat TOS.
In addition, you agree to comply with the following terms, as well as any other terms notified by us to you from time to time, in your use of the Service. These terms are “service-specific” terms as referenced in the WeChat TOS.
You may be able to recover your Password using the Service, where:
1. you no longer have access to the mobile number linked to your WeChat account – for example, if it has been revoked or redistributed by your mobile network operator; or
2. you have lost your Password.
The Service may be accessed via the WeChat app and/or website, as made available by us from time to time.
We may amend the Service (or these terms) at any time at our sole discretion.
You agree to provide only true and valid information in any Application, and you will only make an Application for an account that was originally registered by you.
We do not guarantee you will be able to recover your Password via the Service. You acknowledge that despite our efforts, we do not guarantee the Service’s accuracy, reliability or security.
You agree to use the Service in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If you are (or we reasonably suspect you are) in breach of such requirement, we may take any actions necessary to protect our interests, including terminating your access to WeChat and/or taking any actions as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Within the Service, we will provide instructions regarding how you can apply to recover your Password via the Service (an “Application”) – for example, the information you are required to input as part of your Application.
We may verify any information you input using verification methods as determined by us, in order to decide (at our sole discretion) whether your Application is successful (i.e. being able to recover your Password via the Service). Such verification may include us asking you to provide further supporting materials in relation to your Application.
We provide you with a receipt number when we receive your Application. Please provide such receipt number to us if you have any questions in relation to the Service or your Application.
We will notify you of your Application’s result via SMS to the phone number associated with your WeChat account, or another method as made available by us to you.
